So far, if you have been following along, or if you go back and read the previous posts you will have seen that I’ve discussed a number of practices to improve emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Now I’d like to put them all together in a daily routine so that they can all be practiced and one can get the most benefit from them. While this is just a suggestion for developing a practice, I find that doing these in this sequence is most beneficial.
If you have the time and desire, it would be best to practice this set of exercises twice a day. However if you cannot for some reason, do them at least once a day at the same time. The best time to practice is between 11am and 1pm and again between 5pm and 7pm. During these times the electromagnetic field on the planet is most conducive to the fluidity of Qi flowing without obstruction throughout the body. The first 3 practices should be done outside. If it’s raining try practicing under a porch or in an opened garage to get clean, fresh air.
1. Start the morning off with 5 minutes of Rebounding, ideally on a Cellerciser, this is the minimum amount of time needed to cause the lymph fluid to circulate throughout the body fully one time.
2. Then practice the 8 Pieces of Brocade as described in The Way of Energy, by Lam Kam Chuen, this routine should take about 10 minutes and will help fully condition the body’s energy.
3. Then practice the first two Super Power Breathing Exercises as described in Super Power Breathing by Paul C. Bragg. This should take about 5 minutes. This will fully oxygenate the body and brain and help to clear any sinus congestion that was not cleared out by the first two exercises.
4. Next go inside and shower if you feel the need to. Then practice 15 minutes of Embryonic Breathing as disclosed in the book by Dr. Yang, Jwing Ming titled Qigong Meditation Embryonic Breathing.
5. Once the energy is settled and one has a connection of singularity with the body and mind, then commence with Bone Marrow Washing as taught in the book Bone Marrow Nei Kung by Mantak Chia. After practicing Bone Breathing for 5 to 10 minutes lay down on one’s back and marinate in the feeling of your cumulative practice.
In all, the process should take no more than 45 minutes morning and evening. Try to commit to this routine for 100 days to see significant results. The goal is not to visualize something that is not there, but to genuinely feel. Once one’s feeling become more sensitive and the practice develops a momentum, one will ‘know’ rather than believe.
In Conclusion, The goal of these practices is Mastery; both mental mastery and spiritual mastery. In the beginning it may seem that one does not have the feeling to sense anything that is not visible, but with time in the practices one will develop a true sense of Reality and Nature and be able to know Truth.
Then one will feel like they are on top of their game and on top of the mountain of mastery. Getting to this high level of stability takes time and effort, which will require determination, dedication and discipline. After one reaches the apex of mastery one will look back with a sense of gratitude for the mental challenges they went through as it will have been the fuel for the growth they will have experienced.
